Permissive Tax Exemption
Applications for 2024
The City of Port Alberni invites qualified local groups and organizations to apply for permissive tax exemption for the year 2024. All approved applicants from prior years will need to reapply for the new 2024-2027 Bylaw. Application forms are available online or from the Corporate Services Department at City Hall. Completed applications must be received by 4:30 pm on August 14, 2023 and are to be submitted to:

The criteria for Permissive Tax Exemptions is defined by Section 224 of the Community Charter. Copies of this section of the Community Charter and the City’s current permissive tax exemption policy are available from the City Clerk’s department or on our website at www.portalberni.ca.
