Pursuant to Sections 94 and 227 of the Community Charter, notice is hereby given that Council of the City of Port Alberni intends to adopt “Permissive Tax Exemption Bylaw No. 5090, 2023 and Places of Public Worship Exemption Bylaw No. 5091, 2023 by October 31, 2023.
The Bylaws propose to exempt from taxation lands and improvements for a four-year term from 2024 – 2027. The properties being considered and the estimated municipal property taxes that would be imposed if they were not exempt are listed below.
