With great sadness we announce the passing of Albert Weber on Wednesday, January 17, 2024, at the age of 90 years.

Predeceased by wife Betty, his parents, three sisters and three brothers.

Albert is survived by children, Lorna (Steve), Vern (Cindy), Kevin (Mary), Dave (Lisa), Byron (Melanie), grandchildren Justin (Shayna), Kaitlin, Dylan (Melina), Ian, Ben & Ayden and great grandson Dawson. Albert is also survived by sisters, Marie, Magdelena and Rita, brother, Ben, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Albert was born and raised on a farm in Wilkie, Saskatchewan. Albert worked for the CPR in Wilkie, from 1951 until he moved to Port Alberni in 1956. He worked at the Alberni Plywood Mill from 1956 until his retirement in 1991, in addition he worked weekends at the old Barclay Hotel during his early years.

Albert and Betty were married in 1957, raised five children and shared in over 65 years of marriage.

Throughout his life Albert actively volunteered in many events and projects within the Catholic Church and was a lifetime member of the Knights of Columbus including the 4th degree Assembly.

We extend heartfelt thanks to all of the staff of Echo Village for the care and compassion shown to Albert.

Prayer Service will be held 7:00 pm Thursday February 1st at Chapel of Memories Funeral Home, Funeral Mass held 1:30 pm February 2nd at Holy Family Notre Dame Catholic Church with reception to follow at the Church Hall.
