Anne Zdebiak passed away on Sunday March 11, 2018 in Fir Park Village at the age of 96 years.

Predeceased by husband Tony, infant son Joseph, parents Peter and Tetania, brothers Matt and Bill, sisters Irene, Nellie and Mary as well as grand son Mark.

Survived by sons Bill and Moe (Faye); daughter in law Doris; grandchildren Leanne (Ben)and Nicole (Patrick); great grandchildren Livia, Larissa and Nikolas as well as numerous nieces and nephews and extended family.

Born on the prairies, Anne came to the Alberni Valley in 1951 with husband Tony in search of work. After spending some time at home raising her sons, she went to work for Wards Cleaners and worked form them for more than 30 years. One of her proudest accomplishments was winning a contest on how to get a very persistent stain out.

She was a member of the Ukrainian Catholic Women's League, as her and her husband were one of the founding members of the Ukrainian Orthodox church at the corner of 8th and Roger. Anne was a member of the Sunshine Club and a Life Time Member of the Lawn Bowling Club. She loved to share her wonderful Ukrainian cooking as well as grew vegetables and flowers - especially Impatiens.

In lieu of flowers, donations and Anne's name may be made to the charity of your choice.

Prayers will be held at 7:00 pm, Thursday, March 22, from the Chapel of Memories , 4005 - 6th Ave, with a Funeral Mass to take place at 1:00 pm, Friday, March 23 from Holy Family Notre Dame Roman Catholic Church, 4731 Burke Road.
