In loving memory ~

Antonio passed away peacefully at West Coast General Hospital in Port Alberni, B.C., close to his 90th birthday.

He is predeceased by his siblings in Italy, Gino and Lia. His son Michele and daughter Nora (John) Moncur. Antonio is survived by Bruna, his loving wife of 61 years, children: Maria Law, Pat (Darryl) Goodman, Sonia (Todd) Organ; grandchildren, Eric, Jake, Jesse, Sam, Daniel, Justin, Lia and Daniella. He also leaves behind his family in Italy, including his brother Santo and numerous nieces and nephews.

Antonio was born in Cimadolmo, Italy, in 1934. He immigrated to Canada in 1954 to seek a better life. After traveling across the country, he settled in Courtenay, B.C., where he worked as a shingle sawyer for eight years. While visiting Italy, he met his future wife, Bruna. They then married in Courtenay, B.C. in 1962.

Ready to start a family, Antonio and Bruna moved to Port Alberni shortly after their wedding, where Antonio worked at the Somass Mill for over 30 years. Antonio loved his home in Beaver Creek, where he raised his growing family and many cows and dogs. He found joy in simple things like growing grapes, raising animals and helping Bruna with the garden. He was known for helping his friends. After retirement, Antonio focused his time on his hobby farm, making wine, and being a devoted Nonno to his many grandchildren.

Funeral Mass will be held February 24, 11:00 am at Holy Family Notre Dame Church, with a reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to a charity of your choice. Antonio's legacy is one of hard work, love for family, and finding gratitude in life's simple pleasures.

May he rest in peace.
