Phillips, Arthur passed away in Port Alberni on January 21st, 2020 at the age of 84. Predeceased by his wife Donna; son Bob; daughter Bonnie; sisters Phyllis, Roberta, and Alberta; and son-in-law Loren. Survived by daughter Yolanda (Gordon); son Terry (Anne); grandchildren; Matt (Jenaya), and Dylan; great-grandchild Blake; brother Joe; as well as many nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Art was born on the prairies and came to the Alberni Valley in the mid 50's. Upon arrival to Port Alberni he worked at a local Plywood Mill before beginning his career at the Port Alberni Pulp Mill, where he worked for over 20 years.
In his spare time, he enjoyed woodworking, gardening, fishing with his family and spending much of his time at Spider Springs. In the last 4 years of his life Art loved living at Abbeyfield.
Art was best known as "Gramps" to everyone around him. He loved and cherished spending time with his family and will be deeply and greatly missed by all.
