Barbara passed away peacefully at home on October 2, 2016. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband Stan Kingston and children Theresa Kingston, Ted (Betty) Kingston, David (Clara) Kingston. Barbara loved her family deeply and was especially appreciative of her grandchildren Krystal (Stuart), Michael (Kelsey) and Amy and her great-grandchildren Lochlann and Kahleia. She is also survived by her sister Jacqueline and brother Ted (Agnes). Barbara was active in the community and supported her family in all their activities. The family would like to thank Doctors Kitshoff, Williams, Johnson and Ferguson and Home Nursing staff, Jackie, Dave and Jenny, for their support and caring approach to Barbara and the family. Gratitude is also extended to the Ambulance Service, Port Alberni Fire Department and staff at West Coast General Hospital. No formal services will be held according to Barbara’s wishes. A private family gathering will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to West Coast General Hospital Foundation, or the charity of your choice.
