It is with great sorrow that our family announces the passing of Bernice Evelyn Allen on September 1, 2016 in her 82nd year after a long battle with dementia, and is now resting in peace. Born November 10, 1933 in Dauphin, Manitoba and grew up in Youbou, BC, later moving to Port Alberni where she would meet her husband and raise a family. Bernice was a classy and beautiful lady, always touching people with her kindness and loving ways. We will never forget her words of wisdom and encouragement. We will love her forever. Predeceased by her parents Martin and Ida Weiten and sister Shirley Wood. She leaves behind her loving husband of 60 years, Charles, and her boys: Greg (Gail), Richard and Scott; four grandchildren: Melanie (Lee), Blight, Shelby, Spencer and Jessica; two great-grandchildren: McKenna and Ryler; brother Philip Weiten; sister Phylis Houle and many nieces and nephews.
