Cecile passed away on October 17, 2016 at West Coast General Hospital after two years of poor health. She was born in Ste. Rose du Lac, Manitoba to Justin and Alice Normand. The second oldest of ten children, Cecile leaves behind a large family and many friends. She was predeceased by baby brother Romain, her husband Bud in October 2010 and her sister Lucienne in November 2011. “Cec” is survived by her children Debrah (Rick), Gordon (Sandra), Brian, Lucie (Burt) and Gwen; her grandchildren Trevor, Craig, Ryan, Michael, John, Lesley, Steven, Christina and Kurtis; nine great-grand children; her brothers and sisters Rita, Edith (Don), Laurette, Rene (Eva), Denise (Fritz), Noella (Louis) and Donald; brother in law Rollie, sister in law Irene Yurechko and many nieces and nephews. Friends and family are invited to attend Mass for Cecile at Notre Dame Parish Church, 4731 Burke Rd., Port Alberni at 1:00 pm on Friday October 28, 2016. The family wishes to extend heartfelt thanks to the Doctors and staff at West Coast General Hospital who looked after Mom during her many admissions there in recent months.
