February 16, 1927 - June 29, 2018
Charlie passed away peacefully with his family by his side. He is finally with the love of his life, Bernice, whom he missed dearly.
Charlie grew up in the Alberni Valley, and spent his working career in the forest industry as a loader operator for various contractors. Dad had a great sense of humor and always said, "I have 8 million stories".
Charlie was predeceased by his wife Bernice of 60 years.
He leaves behind his children, Greg (Gail), Richard and Scott, grandchildren Melanie (Lee) Blight, Shelby, Spencer and Jessica. Great grandchildren, McKenna and Ryler, along with numerous relatives and friends.
A heartfelt thank-you to the doctors and nurses at West Coast General Hospital, especially Dr. White and Melissa. Also a big thanks to Margi, staff and friends at Abbeyfield, you guys are wonderful.
In keeping with Dads wishes, no service will be held. A private family scattering of Dad and Mom's ashes will be held at a later date.
