It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Deanna Catherine Janessa Williams, precious daughter of Catherine Sturgeon, Angela Curley and Clifford Williams. Deanna was born December 15,1999 in Tofino and passed away June 2, 2021, in Nanaimo.
She is survived by her parents and siblings Leila, Andrew, Carolyn, Alexander, Michael, Jessica, Skylar, Johnathon, Brianna and Ethan.
Deanna attended John Howitt Elementary School, Neil Middle School, ADSS and graduated from the Eight Avenue Learning Center in 2018. At the time of her death, she was attending VIU and hoping to become a nurse.
Deanna lived life to the fullest - playing softball, hockey and rugby. She loved to ride horses, played the clarinet and danced ballet and jazz. She also spent time in Navy League and Sea Cadets and loved to sail.
Her sparkling smile will be missed and she touched the hearts of everyone she met.
