Doreen passed away in the Cardston, Alberta hospital in the presence of her loving daughter, Colleen and her grandson, Austin.
She was the 10th child of 13 children born to Harry and Helen Tilley. Bother Allan and sisters Lila and Alice remaining.
Doreen moved with 3 of her 4 children to Cardston, to work and be close to the LDS temple.
She bought a house and started a Beauty Salon in house. She worked long hours as a hairdresser to provide for her children. She enjoyed sewing, knitting, crocheting, and she loved reading scriptures and her temple work.
Doreen devoted her time to her grandchildren. Since they were babies, she cared for Arik, Alex and Aiden while their mother worked. She sewed many costumes for Tasha, Dustin and Tiffany. Her grandchildren kept her young. She never met her great grandson, Finn.
Doreen suffered deep sadness and loss in her later years. Her Church, sisters, friends, daughter Colleen, grandson Austin, and son-in- law Dale carried her through these sad years.
Doreen's kind heart, her gentle ways, and her sweet smile will be missed by all who knew and loved her. A beautiful soul.
She was laid to rest in the Cardston Cemetery.
