Frances Thomas; passed away in Fir Park on Wednesday, March 21, 2018 at the age of 92.
Predeceased by husband Orville, brother Norman.
Survived by children Diane (Phil) and David (Sandy); grandchildren Jocelyn, Laura, Shelley and Bradley as well as 5 great grandchildren.
Born and raised in Port Alberni, Frances was one of the original 'Plywood Girls' and a descendant of the Drinkwater founding family. Once married, she stayed at home to take care of family. She loved to talk to people and people loved to talk to her. She kept herself busy in her spare time sewing, doing crafts and baking when not spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She had a great sense of humour and loved a good laugh.
A Service of Remembrance will be held at 12:30, Wednesday, April 4, 2018 at the Chapel of Memories, 4005 -6th Ave.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Frances' memory may be made to Fir Park/Echo Village Foundation, 4200 - 10th Ave, Port Alberni, BC., V9Y 4X3.
