It is with great sadness and respect that we announce Dad passed away peacefully Dec 5, 2021. He was born June 24, 1930 in Weldon, SK. Predeceased by parents Peder and Jennie Pederson and his siblings, as well as his loving wife Ann.
Dad is survived by his children. Son Terry, daughters Laurie (Len) Evans, Bonnie (Wayne), Debbie. Grandsons Cameron, Daniel, Christopher, Jordan and great granddaughter, Hanna as well as relatives in Saskatchewan and BC.
Dad and mum moved from the prairies to BC and resided in Port Alberni where they raised their children and built their home. Dad worked at the pulp mill and after retirement dad and mum enjoyed camping, travelling back to the prairies and mostly loved camping at Rathtrevor Beach with Terry and his boys.
After mum's passing, dad enjoyed time with his grandsons. Halibut dinner cooked by Len, turkey dinners cooked by Laurie, Bonnie and Debbie. He looked forward to his "bromance" lunches with Wayne at Smittys and loved the staff there.
Thank you to dad's home support nightshift and to the caring staff at WCGH where he spent the last couple of weeks of his life.
Dad was a kind and gentle man, he will be dearly missed by his children and their families. And by all the people he met along his journey.
