March 24, 1957 - November 5, 2019
Unexpectedly, abruptly, and too soon, Jack died of a heart attack on November 5th. He loved his son Michel, and will be remembered by Michel's mother, Elaine, and missed by his partner Zea. He leaves his sisters Alja and Ineke (Paul), his brothers Anton and Robert, his niece Dana (Stephen) and nephew Kelly (Jieny). Jack was born and grew up in Port Alberni. He attended BCIT and as a skilled aviation mechanic, spent many years with Air Canada Jazz, retiring in 2016. He moved to Chemainus, and enjoyed restoring old motorbikes, which he rode on the highways and byways of Vancouver Island.
Jack was a steadfast, capable, loyal and strong man, loved by his family, and liked and respected by friends and acquaintances. He will be fondly remembered.
