After a long and colorful life, Jake (Jacob) Horst, age 88, passed away on November 26, 2015 at Echo Village, Port Alberni, BC.
He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Gertrude and his children David, Katherine and Jacklyn and their families, also his two sisters, nieces and nephews.
Jake was very active in the community and had a long career in hockey. The front line of the Rostern Maroons is waiting for him.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, December 9, 2015 from 1:00 – 3:00 PM at the Beaver Creek Community Hall – 8505 Beaver Creek Road, Port Alberni, BC.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jake’s name to the Beaver Creek Community Hall.
