In loving memory ~
On Wednesday, November 24th, 2021, we said good-bye to our beautiful Tish.
Born to Robert and Stella Irwin in Smeaton, Saskatchewan, Tish headed west to BC in 1964 following Terry, the love of her life. They landed in Port Alberni and never left. She loved everyone, but none more than Terry, her husband of 56 years, and her four boys and their families.
Tish was predeceased by her parents, her brother,Allan Irwin, and her niece, Trudy Debler. Tish is survived by her husband Terry; her sons, Dwaine Clarke (Veronica), Cameron (Jasmine), Colin (Aliza), and Alan (Sybil); her 12 grandchildren, Tyler Clarke (Kaitlyn), Tiana (Kevin), Christopher, Julia, Trevor (Paige), Garret, Joel, Carina (Cory), Hanna, Nathan, Brendan, and Ryan (Ashle) as well as her sister, Jean Lewis (Norman); and many wonderful cousins, nieces, nephews, and family stretched across Canada all the way to Nova Scotia.
Tish was compassionate, generous, and always looking out for everyone else's needs before her own. Tish loved cooking, fishing, quilting, volunteering, RVing, and gardening. She fed her resident hummingbirds all year round and tried to keep the deer out of her garden. Not only was she a great mom, she was also an outstanding grandma. Grammie always had a card to send and gifts on special occasions and birthdays. She loved all her grandkids and kept up on their personal lives and activities. Tish will be greatly missed by her family, her many friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Tish battled con-genitive heart failure for the past few years and in the past month became increasingly tired. She spent a few days in the hospital and then we brought her home where she passed away peacefully with family at her side.
There will be no service at this time and in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Ty Watson House and The Red Cross.
Special thanks to all of her dear friends, caregivers, Doctors and nurses, and hospital staff that helped keep her heart pumping right up until the end.
