A good woman is gone and her absence is already greatly felt. We are heartbroken to announce the death of our beautifully sweet mother, grandma, sister and friend. Lorraine passed unexpectedly on the evening of Sunday, June 6th.
Predeceased by her husband, Gerald, her parents, Wilfrid and Lorette, and her brother, Raymond, she is survived by her children Gary (Monica), Bonnie (Randy), Shelley (Mark) and David (Jesse); grandchildren, Missy, Brenna, Eddie and Kassie; siblings, Angela, Linda (Ron), and Irene (Dave), special sister-in-law and friend Audie, as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family members who already miss her.
Born in Saskatchewan, Lorraine's family moved to Port Alberni in the mid 1940s where she grew up.
She will always be remembered for bringing people together to enjoy her cooking. Auntie LoLo was famous for her sweet and sour meatballs.
Lorraine spent her days dancing, travelling reading and baking treats for her beloved grandchildren. Days down at the cabin with her husband Big G brought happy memories to everyone.
The family is devastated by her loss but there's comfort in knowing she is finally reunited with her soulmate.
No service by request and in lieu of flowers donations made in Lorraine's memory to the Ty Watson House are welcomed.
