Wife. Mother. Grandmother. Sister. Aunt. Friend. Always strong, supportive, caring. Always ready to feed you and laugh with you. Rita loved her family and friends and time spent with them.
Rita is survived by her husband of 52 years, Ken; daughter, Amanda (Simon); son, Steven (Lyndy); and daughter, Pamela; grandchildren, Van, Drew, and McKenzie; brothers, Hank (Rita), Casey (Gaetane); sisters, Tina (Louis), Mientje, and Thea; and her extended family, Raeburn, and Rollie, Laurie and Rob, Gord and Lorraine, and Margaret and Mike, as well as many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Due to covid restrictions, a funeral will be held at a later date. Those wishing to honour Rita's memory may choose to make a donation to Ty Watson House. Rita's family are grateful to the staff and volunteers at Ty Watson House who cared for Rita in her final months. You brought dignity, comfort, and care to a difficult time.
