Ron passed away peace fully in Nanaimo hospital after having hip surgery.
Ron is survived by his wife Frieda after 61 years being together. He is also survived by daughter Carol and granddaughter Ashley, son Darren, grandsons Parker & Nathan.
He was predeceased by mother & father and 6 brothers.
He is survived by one brother and one sister and many nieces and nephews.
He came to Canada when he was 19 from Surinam South America. He worked at M.&B. Plywood Mill as carpenter till it shut down. Ron enjoyed fishing at Cous Creek and Gracie Lake. He loved smoking fish for his fishing friends he also loved raising birds and gardening mainly his Dutch beans. His favourite spot to have coffee was the donut shop.
We will all miss his stories and smoked fish.
