In Loving Memory ~
Wayne Carter, age 72, of Port Alberni, British Columbia passed away on Saturday, February 3, 2024.
He will be deeply missed by son Don; 2 grandchildren Kiana and Donovan; sisters Debbie and Cheryl both living in Ontario as well as nieces and nephews.
He will also be sadly missed by Bailey, his 17 year old cat.
Predeceased by mother Theresa; nephew Steven; brothers Mark, Tom and Jamie.
Wayne was born in Ontario in 1951. He moved to Port Alberni in 1968 where he started working at the Pulp and Paper mill as a pipefitter and remained there for the next 30 years.
Wayne enjoyed playing baseball (shortstop 14). He had a love for cars, his favourite was his black corvettes. Most recently he seen riding his mountain bike around town. Weekly afternoons would find him at the local bars visiting with friends while he tested them with his quick wit he was known for.
He had very impressive home and garden skills which could be seen in his beautifully landscaped yard, tending his unique shrubs, flowers and his tasty garlic he would share with friends. He always had a home project on the go. Everything he did was with perfection.
Cremation has taken place.
A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.
