William John Thomas Cove, (90), of Airdrie, Alberta (Port Alberni, BC), passed away peacefully on December 5, 2023.
William, fondly known as Bill, had a life well lived. He started his early career as a bus driver, and then went on to be a talented aviator with a successful career, working for BC Airlines, Canfor, Weldwood, and Coulson Forest Products. Bill positively impacted his community and influenced many new and seasoned pilots. Bills' smile and zest for life will truly be missed.
Bill felt blessed to have had a great family and so many wonderful friends. He is survived by his sister, Shirley; his children, Willy (Terry), Dan (Kim), Melenie (John); several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Bill was predeceased by his beautiful wife Beverley, his brother Gerry, and his parents, Rose and John.
At Bill's request, he will be cremated and no service will be held. Instead of flowers, we ask that you consider a donation to the Victoria or Port Alberni Flying Club which aims to support new pilots, enabling them to begin exploring their love for aviation.
