In loving memory ~

With great sadness, we announce the passing of our dear mother, Yvonne Bulwer, on March 18, 2024. Yvonne was born in Pine Falls, Manitoba in 1936. When she was 5 years old her family moved to Port Alberni, where she lived ever since. After a variety of jobs, her longest and last one before retiring was at West Coast General Hospital. Yvonne had a very socially active, joyful life in the company of her large family and life-long friends. She was a kind-hearted, compassionate person who made a lasting impression on everyone who knew her.

Yvonne was a supermother whose superpower was unconditional love. Her love was returned to her four-fold throughout her life by four generations of her offspring. She was surrounded by loving family until her last breath.

Yvonne was predeceased by her parents Joseph and Babe Coss; twin sister Yvette; brothers Oril, Edward, Walter, Henry and Richard; and husband Rod. She is survived by her sisters Mae and Darlene; brother Gordon; her children Perry, Brenda, Crystal and Jay; and 7 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Yvonne will be greatly missed by all and live long in our memories. As we say farewell to Yvonne, we take solace in knowing her loving legacy continues to reverberate through the hearts of those she held dear.

A Celebration of Life will be held to honour this remarkable woman at Port Alberni Church of the Nazarene, 4190 Victoria Drive, on May 4, 2024, at 1 p.m. Refreshments to follow. In lieu of flowers, if desired, please donate to the West Coast General Hospital Foundation in Yvonne's memory.
