Get involved in the Alberni Valley’s arts

We are approaching the beginning of May, which just happens to be designated Membership Month for the Community Arts Council (CAC) here in Port Alberni.

The CAC provides a variety of services including the Rollin Art Centre and gardens, which hosts a variety of artists and community events, childrens summer arts programs, Days With The Arts, the Mistletoe Market, the CAC Book Sale and the Garden Tour.

Membership fees for a year are $15 for an individual, $10 for seniors and $20 for a family. This entitles you to a 10 per cent discount on purchases at Rollin Art Centre, on garden rental fees, and a special one-day 20 per cent discount on all items at the Christmas Mistletoe Market.

Once enrolled, you will receive regular updates on CAC programs and on shows, as well as you will have voting privileges at the CAC annual general meeting.

You will be helping to make Port Alberni a more vibrant and lively community should you chose to volunteer time as well as your annual dues.

Port Alberni is already known as a generous community, a great place to engage in athletics and outdoor activities, and it is our aim to make our community equally renowned for a dedication to the arts.

We have a core of dedicated volunteers working on your behalf, so your dues go a long way toward those goals.

Look for membership tables at the Book Sale, the Farmers Market and at various cultural events.
