To the Editor,
One morning last week I drove to Nanaimo to have lunch with a friend. It seems to me that the number and size of trucking traffic on Highway 4 has continued to increase.
At times last Wednesday, there were four to six trucks —large transports—in numerous “packs”, tailgating around the lake and curves. In between were a few passanger cars.
And tourist season isn’t here yet when we get to add motor homes to the mix along with extra vehicles of various sizes.
I wonder if the people who are promoting the insanity of adding coal transports to this “disaster waiting to happen” have lost their minds?
