Alberni Bulldogs ready for weekend double header

The Alberni Valley Bulldogs play the Merritt Centennials and Surrey Eagles at home this weekend.

The Alberni Valley Bulldogs are in action in a two-game homestand this weekend.

On Friday, the Dogs are in action against the Merritt.

The Centennials are 25-10-2-5 with 57 points on the season, and are currently in third place in their division.

Forward Regan Soquila (No. 12) leads Centennial scorers with 53 points. His teammate Evan Stack (No. 9) has 39 points.

The team’s last action was a 2-1 win over Westside in a home game on Wednesday.

On Saturday, the Bulldogs square off against the Surrey Eagles, who beat the Bulldogs 6-5 when they last met in December.

The Bulldogs meanwhile are 1-2 in a double header last weekend.

They beat the Victoria Grizzlies 6-3 but were blanked 7-0 by Powell River.

Forward Josh Mitchell leads Bulldogs scorers with 29 points.
