Dragon slayers in Alberni

Port Alberni dragon boaters braved wind and rain to compete in an event in Alberni last weekend.

Shawnigan Lake’s Easy Rider dragon boat team braved the rain and winds at the Sproat Lake Invitational Dragon Boat Challenge held at Sproat Lake last weekend. The Easy Riders took first place in the silver division with a time of 3:40. Port Alberni’s Ladies of the Lake took second place in the bronze division. The Wave Riders placed third in the silver division. And the Sunshine Dragons earned first place in the bronze division.
