Due to the threat of rain no one entered the Eliminator event, although there were a good number of men on the golf course on Sunday. As it turned out the rain held off and we got our 18 holes in.
The closest to the pin winners were Bill Johnston on No. 2, Chris Gardiner took home $25 for the Charity closest to the pin on No. 4. Joe Baker for his second shot on No. 6, Trevor Cripps on No. 13 and Bill Johnston on No. 17.
Glen Trask won the hidden hole on No. 3 with a natural birdie, which gave him a net three to collect $40. That’s what happens when you let your partner win the big money the week before.
Next up for the Men’s Club this Sunday, May 27 is the Twin Travel Scramble. This Scramble is one of the longest running events, thanks to Cathy Ferster and Twin Travel and Cruises.
They are putting up a hole-in-one prize for the first ace on No. 17: a trip to Greece.
This is a four-man team event picked by computer, with all the team handicaps totaling around the same.
Please register in the pro shop with your handicap as soon as possible. The shotgun start will be at 8 a.m. Try and be there early so you can get your bets down in the pari-mutuels.
