Knutson, Bouchard dominate ladies’ greens

Marilyn McPherson won the low net.

B Division

Cass Parker won low gross. Yvette Pedersen took low net. Nancy Blair had the low putts.

Pars were made by Katy Lekich on No. 11, Kathy Toms No. 13, Kelly Gauthier and Louise Berlinski on No. 17 and Mara Williamson on No. 18.

Chip-ins were carded by Marie Swain on No. 8 and Katy Lekich on No. 11.

The nine-hole ladies  planned a road trip to Brigadoon golf course in Parksville on July 17. Their Interclub at Eaglecrest is Aug. 14.  Lunch at the lake is planned for July 30.

Carol Bouchard was the winner of the Monthly Medal Shootout.

Patsy Gauthier challenged Bouchard for the challenge pin but Bouchard held onto it. Gayle Rhodes will challenge Bouchard next week.

Bouchard won low gross with an 86. It was truly her day.

Pat Nicklin won low net with 72.

For the Ball Sweep;  we added our par four holes for a gross score; Pat Nicklin won the gross side with 46.

For the net we took half of our handicap off the gross score, and Carol Bouchard won the net with a score of 40.5.

19TH HOLE…A Nancy Lopez 7-iron was lost within the past month. Everyone please check your golf bags, it might have been put in there by mistake.Kathy Tom’s name label is on the shaft.  If you find it, please bring it to the Alberni Golf Club Pro Shop…In the words of Ben Crenshaw: “My golf game’s gone off so much that when I went fishing a week ago my first cast missed the lake.”
